Nola – Newborn Session by Lavender & Sage Photography – Buckinghamshire Newborn Photographer

Oh hey there Nola.

Don’t you just love the name Nola, I’m telling you, I always get the babies with the best names.

It hit me while choosing the images for this blog post that all these little details are why I live for newborn photography.

My Mama heart aches for the long forgotten memories of my own babies teeny tiny newborn hands and feet, how their beautiful faces looked when they were only days old and the way they were so little in my arms, of course I have a precious few photos from their first few days but mostly from a camera phone, nothing NOTHING like these.

Those beautiful newborn days go past in such a blur and you just can’t imagine forgetting these little details…. but sadly you will.

Nothing prepares for for how quickly they change.

Let me document these important details for you,  from the beginning,

When you come to see your final gallery you will thank yourself for doing this,

for yourself, for your Mama heart and for your baby,

because one day she will see these photographs and see how incredibly important and loved she was from the very start.

I'm Mel. Oh Hey!
Hey I'm Mel!

A photographer of Mama’s and their babies, since 2011, splitting time between my studio in a little town called Princes Risborough in Buckinghamshire and location and in home sessions in Plymouth and Cornwall.

Obsessed with: my three babies, instagram, mid-century design, mac and cheese, endless cups of tea, and sunny Sunday mornings in bed.

Firm believer that almost everything can be solved with tea and cake....or Prosecco!

You can mostly find me snuggled up on the sofa with my children watching something disney (Moana is the current fave)

They are a constant reminder to me, that sometimes we need to take the time to just be, to hold them tight, take it all in and cherish these days of being needed.

Life moves so incredibly fast.

My photography style is raw, real, and authentic.

Documenting the true love and connection between you and the ones you love the most is my passion and I couldn't be more grateful for the opportunity to witness these precious moments in a family's life.
